CGI Windows & Doors built its reputation in South Florida on impact-rated aluminum and vinyl systems engineered for High-Velocity Hurricane Zones. In Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach, that matters more than in most Florida cities. Broward County is one of only two counties in the state designated HVHZ under the Florida Building Code - alongside Miami-Dade - which means every replacement window and door must carry a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance or HVHZ-specific Florida Product Approval. A product that passes standard statewide impact testing won’t cut it here. We’ve seen out-of-area crews learn that lesson the hard way after permits get rejected.

Sonia Raman, who leads our operation, picked up glazing fundamentals at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College before spending nearly two decades measuring and setting openings across South Florida. She and our crew have worked everything from new construction in the Pompano Beach waterfront corridor to impact-glass retrofits on older homes near Sample Road. “Measure once, document it, then cut” - that’s how we work.

Why Trust Sightline Windows & Doors Pompano Beach for Your CGI Windows & Doors?

We are not affiliated with or authorized by CGI Windows & Doors. We are an independent service provider that has specialized in CGI systems since before the brand became a household name in South Florida. That independence is the point: we source parts from the same extruders that supply CGI’s own supply chain, and we make repair-or-replace calls based on what the frame and sash actually need, not on what a manufacturer’s warranty department prefers.

Our technicians carry CGI-specific hardware on their trucks - stainless-axle rollers for Sentinel horizontal rollers, replacement cam locks for single-hung lift rails, glazing gaskets and weep-hole covers for impact units. We know the difference between a 2003 CGI vinyl frame with a sheared sill weld and a 2015 unit with a serviceable corner, and we won’t quote replacement when rebuild is the honest call.

Every technician is background-checked, uniformed, and identified by license number before arrival - Haven Clause 3, Verified Crews. Every job leaves a documented photo record. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is stamped on every invoice, not offered as a courtesy. And the price we write before any work starts is the price on the final invoice: Haven Clause 1, Have it in writing.

Common CGI Windows & Doors Problems We Fix in Pompano Beach

• Roller failure on CGI Sentinel horizontal rollers. The nylon wheels flat-spot after 10-12 years of daily use in coastal humidity, and the sash starts jumping the track. In Pompano Beach, salt air accelerates the degradation. We replace them with OEM-spec stainless-axle rollers that don’t corrode. A homeowner near Pompano Beach called us because two CGI Sentinel horizontal rollers in a 2007 addition were grinding and wouldn’t slide past the halfway point. We pulled the sashes, found flat-spotted nylon rollers and a bent track end, replaced the rollers with OEM-spec stainless-axle units and reset the track. We also cleared the weep holes and replaced the pile weatherstrip - the windows now glide with one finger and passed a hose test with no intrusion.
• Perimeter seal breakdown on CGI impact units. The glazing gasket and weep system clog with debris - pollen, sand, salt residue - and the unit starts weeping into the rough opening during driving rain. This is a real problem in Pompano Beach, where afternoon storms hit with horizontal force. We remove the sash, clean the weep channels, replace the gasket, and test with a calibrated water spray.
• Lift-rail and sash-lock fatigue on older CGI single-hungs. The cam lock stops engaging fully, letting the sash rack and leak air. The lock mechanism is replaceable, but the lift rail often wears at the same time. We replace both as a matched set from CGI-compatible suppliers.
• Frame corner separation on pre-2005 CGI vinyl windows. Thermal movement in full sun shears the welded miter on the sill, showing a hairline crack. Once the crack propagates, water intrusion is guaranteed. We can sometimes sister the corner with a marine-grade bracket, but once the vinyl is chalked or the crack exceeds 3/16 inch, full-frame replacement is the honest recommendation.
• IGU (insulated glass unit) seal failure in CGI impact windows. The glass fogs between panes. For units still under manufacturer’s glass warranty, we use OEM glass. For older units, we source equivalent impact-rated IGU from certified fabricators. The frame must be square and the glazing pocket intact; if the vinyl has degraded, we quote replacement rather than sink money into a failing substrate.

CGI Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

We source OEM-equivalent CGI rollers, glazing gaskets, cam locks, and weatherstrip from the same extruders that supply CGI, and use OEM glass when the IGU is still under a manufacturer’s glass warranty. Our Pompano Beach warehouse stocks the fast-moving items: Sentinel horizontal roller assemblies, single-hung cam locks, pile weatherstrip in common widths, and weep-hole covers.

If the frame is sound, we rebuild the unit. Once the vinyl is chalked, the sill is cracked, or the IGU has failed twice, we recommend full-frame replacement with a current impact-rated unit that carries HVHZ approval. We don’t profit from replacement over repair; Haven Clause 5, No surprises, means the recommendation and the reason go in writing. Call (754) 253-0713 for a free estimate and we’ll tell you which side of the line your unit falls on.

Our CGI Service Process - Step by Step

1. 1
Diagnosis. We measure the rough opening, inspect the frame corners, test the sash operation, and check the IGU for seal failure. You keep the measured survey. We note the CGI series, approximate age, and specific failure mode.
2. 2
Repair or install. For repairs, we use CGI-compatible parts from our local stock. For replacements, we specify a current HVHZ-approved unit - CGI or another manufacturer line that matches the opening’s performance requirements. The written scope and price are fixed before any work starts.
3. 3
Test and document. We operate every sash, check lock engagement, run a water spray on impact units, and photograph the completed work. The photo record goes to you with the final invoice.
4. 4
Warranty. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers labor and materials. Manufacturer warranties on new products pass through to you unchanged.

CGI Products We Service & Install in Pompano Beach

We work on the full CGI residential line: Sentinel Impact Single Hung, Sentinel Impact Horizontal Roller, Series 5000 Vinyl Impact Window, and CGI Vinyl Sliding Glass Door. We stock parts and glass for units from the 1990s through current production. For Window Installation services in Pompano Beach, we specify HVHZ-approved units with marine-grade hardware and anodized or PVC-clad frames - standard practice here, not an upsell, given salt-air corrosion even several blocks from the water.

We Also Service These Brands

Our eight manufacturer lines include PGT, CWS, ES Windows, and ECO Window Systems, plus Therma-Tru, Mr-Glass, and ViewLux. We specify by what the opening requires - wind rating, exposure, frame material, budget - not by what is in stock. Multi-brand capability means we won’t push CGI if another line better serves your project.

FAQs - CGI Windows & Doors Service in Pompano Beach

Is Sightline Windows & Doors Pompano Beach authorized by CGI?

No. We are an independent CGI service provider with no manufacturer affiliation. Our expertise comes from years of field work with CGI products, not from a dealer agreement. This independence lets us source parts from multiple suppliers and make repair-or-replace calls based on your unit’s condition, not a manufacturer’s preferences.

Do you use genuine CGI/OEM parts?

We use OEM-equivalent parts from the same extruders that supply CGI’s supply chain, and OEM glass when the IGU is under manufacturer’s glass warranty. For older units where OEM parts are discontinued, we source certified equivalents that meet or exceed original specifications. The part source and warranty status are documented on every invoice.

How long does CGI service take?

Most repairs - roller replacement, lock and lift-rail service, weep system cleaning - are completed in one visit because we stock CGI-specific parts locally. Full-frame replacements require ordering the unit, typically 4-6 weeks for HVHZ-approved CGI products. The timeline is in writing before you commit. Call (754) 253-0713 to schedule and we’ll confirm current lead times.

What CGI models/series do you cover?

We service and install CGI Windows & Doors in Oakland Park, FL and the surrounding area, including Sentinel Impact Single Hung, Sentinel Impact Horizontal Roller, Series 5000 Vinyl Impact Window, and CGI Vinyl Sliding Glass Door. We also work on older CGI single-hung and fixed units from the 1990s and 2000s, including pre-2005 vinyl frames with known sill-weld issues.

Will service void my CGI warranty?

Manufacturer warranties on new CGI products remain valid when serviced by any qualified technician using appropriate parts. We document the part source and work performed to support any future warranty claim. For units already out of warranty, our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers our labor and materials.

How much does CGI windows & doors service cost in Pompano Beach?
