How Sightline Windows & Doors Pompano Beach Was Born in Pompano Beach
We remember the exact afternoon. It was late summer, the kind of day in Pompano Beach where the afternoon thunderstorms hold off just long enough for the humidity to settle into your shirt. We were sitting in a kitchen near the Intracoastal, looking at a window installation another company had abandoned mid-job. The homeowner, a retired teacher, had paid in full for windows that leaked every time the wind shifted east. Three calls. Three no-shows. She was out the money and the contractor was gone.
That was the moment. We had been working in the trade for years, first as a glazier’s apprentice, then running crews for other outfits. We had watched the pattern repeat: a slick quote, a deposit collected, then the scope would creep, the price would climb, the crew would change, and the homeowner would be left holding a folder full of promises that didn’t match what was actually installed. In Pompano Beach, with our salt air and our hurricane seasons, a bad window job isn’t an inconvenience. It’s a slow-motion disaster.
We decided that evening to bring Sightline here. The brand already existed, already had its standards, already meant something in other markets. What Pompano Beach needed was a local branch that would actually live by them. We opened our doors in 2012 with one commitment: the measurement and the quote would be the same document. No surprises. No “while we’re in here.” The number you sign is the number you pay.
Sonia Raman’s Personal Connection to the Windows & Doors Trade
We didn’t stumble into this work. We were pulled into it by the materials themselves.
Our first real exposure came as a teenager, helping a tradesman who trained us in a shop off Sample Road. The smell of butyl tape and aluminum primer. The sound of a glazing knife scoring clean through old silicone. The weight of a fixed picture window when you lift it wrong and feel it in your lower back for three days. We learned to read a sash the way some people learn to read faces: the bow in the frame, the fog between panes that means the seal has failed, the subtle tilt that tells you the rough opening was never square to begin with.
What hooked us was the moment of installation. Not the sale, not the deposit. The moment when the old unit comes out and the new one slides into place, and for a few seconds there’s just raw opening, raw light, raw connection between inside and outside. Then the shims go in, the level reads true, and the room changes. The sound changes. The temperature changes. You’ve altered how someone lives in their home, and you’ll never meet most of the mornings they’ll spend in that light.
We’ve been doing this for over a decade now. If we weren’t in windows and doors, we’d probably be in boats. Something about working with materials that have to keep water out, that have to flex without failing, that have to last in salt air. The problems rhyme.
What gets us out of bed is the same thing that kept us in the shop late as an apprentice: a job that another company walked away from. A window that three crews have looked at and nobody will touch. The homeowner who has stopped believing anyone will fix it right. Those are the calls we want.
Meet Sonia Raman - The Person Behind Every Job

I’m Sonia Raman, Owner and Founder of Sightline Windows & Doors Pompano Beach. I’ve spent my career in the glazing trade, from cutting glass by hand in a small shop to running full replacement projects across Broward County. My training came up through the work itself: measuring rough openings at 6 AM, troubleshooting failed seals in afternoon heat, learning which vinyl profiles hold their color in South Florida UV and which ones chalk within two years.
What separates our branch from a corporate send-a-tech model is simple: I’m still on-site when the job matters. I still open the truck in the morning. I still sign the Haven Standard checklist on every install. When you call our office, you’re reaching a live coordinator who connects you with our local team, and that team works under my license and my name.
Outside of work, I restore vintage fishing reels. The patience required to clean a corroded drag system and have it run smooth again - that same patience is what I bring to a window that won’t quite square in a 1960s Pompano Beach block wall. My commitment to you is direct: every job we take, I put my name on the documentation you keep. If it isn’t right, we come back until it is.
Before
AfterOur Promise to Pompano Beach Homeowners
Our values aren’t poster language. They’re operational rules we follow on every job, drawn from the Haven Standard that Sightline established in 2012.
Have it in writing. Clause 1 of the Haven Standard means your price is flat, your scope is fixed, and your warranty is printed before anyone touches your home. We learned this the hard way early on, when a supplier changed a profile mid-job and we absorbed the cost rather than pass it to the customer. Now the spec sheet is the contract. No verbal allowances. No “we’ll figure it out on site.”
Arrive on schedule. We give you a real window, a named technician, and a text when we’re on the way. Not because we’re efficient, but because you’ve already taken the morning off work, already arranged for the dog to be elsewhere, already cleared the patio furniture. Your time is the price you pay before we quote a dollar.
Verified crews. Every pro working under our name is required to hold the license and insurance their state requires. We don’t send strangers. We send people whose work we’ve seen, whose names we know.
Evidence on every job. Photos of your rough opening. Moisture readings of the sill. Thermal images when we suspect air infiltration. You get the file. Not because you asked, but because Clause 4 requires it.
No surprises. No door upsell when you called for windows. No “while we’re in here” scope creep. The sightline you’re buying is the view, not the frame. We keep it that way.
Our Credentials

- State-licensed contractor operating in full compliance with Florida requirements
- Insured & bonded for residential window and door replacement work
- Years of local experience in South Florida’s coastal building environment
- Strong local reputation built across Pompano Beach and surrounding communities
These credentials matter because window and door replacement in Florida isn’t handyman work. It’s structural modification that affects your home’s wind-load rating, your energy compliance, and your insurance inspection. A homeowner hiring someone to cut into their wall needs to know that person carries the coverage to make it right if something fails. Our licensing and insurance aren’t decorations. They’re the mechanism that lets us honor our work if the unexpected happens.
We operate under the Sightline brand’s documented record: 18,000+ windows and doors fitted since 2012, every one with a written price before work started and a documented record when we left. That heritage belongs to the brand. The license, the trucks, and the neighbors we serve belong to this branch.
Rooted in Pompano Beach
We’re based here, not headquartered elsewhere and dispatching in. Our warehouse sits where the salt air is real, where we know which way the easterlies blow in September, where we’ve replaced windows in the same Garden Isles ranch houses three times as owners changed and the building code evolved. We’ve worked in Cypress Bend, in the older condos along A1A, in the homes near McNab Park where the original jalousie windows finally gave out. We don’t sponsor little leagues we don’t attend or claim roots we haven’t grown. We’re here, we’re local, and we’re staying.
